BrainWave Generator is an offering of Noromaa Solutions at http://www.bwgen.com.  BwGen is currently at version 3.1 and was apparently last updated in 2005.  The program includes a variety of ‘preset’ programs that use common brainwave entrainment techniques to help you relax, meditate, learn, and so on.  You can also customize the programs to suit your needs.  The program can play the sounds directly to your sound output or generate wave output for listening in other environments.

Self Hypnosis and Relaxation Machine

SHARM is a program that generates self-improvement programs.  I use SHARM, along with other tools, for some of what I do.  Their tool is cost effective and quite easy to use for many programs.  The price ranges from $130 to $200, with various optional add-ons at $40 to $60 each.

SHARM includes a very good set of sessions targeted for different purposes.  If you like to experiment with a variety of programs and create your own, this is an excellent program.

Neuro-Programmer 3 (recently upgraded from v2 to 3) by TransparentCorp is a program that generates sounds designed to entrain the brain or induce desired brain states.  The program includes a variety of core techniques that are widely known to produce “brainwave entrainment” as well as a variety of supporting materials to make programs enjoyable.

Mind Workstation

Mind Workstation is a powerful program generation tool by TransparentCorp, which also markets Neuro-Programmer 3.  This is a more capable tool that also includes a broad sample library and much more flexibility in creating programs.

The cost ranges from $200 to $700 depending on the number of options, type of license, level of support, and commercial use provisions.
